Cannabis Roll Orientation Detection & Transfer Automation
Location: Israel
Application: Automated system for detecting the orientation of pre-rolled cannabis cigarettes on a conveyor using an advanced camera system, and transferring them for further processing.
Supply Scope:
In collaboration with Hefestus, Shaniv Control developed a dedicated automation unit that handles pre-rolled cannabis cigarettes arriving on a conveyor in random positions and orientations.
The system features a vision camera that detects the exact location and angle of each roll on the conveyor belt. The information from the camera is processed in real time to determine the orientation and positioning of every roll. An ABB SCARA robotic arm, integrated with custom tooling, picks each roll individually—regardless of how it’s positioned—and transfers it precisely to the next stage of production.
Car Battery Internal Assembly Automation
Location: Israel
Project Application: Automated system for the precise assembly of internal components in car batteries, including the placement of zinc elements and automated connection of battery poles, as part of the production process.
Supply Scope:
Shaniv Control developed and integrated an advanced automation solution for E. Schnapp & Co. Works Ltd., focusing on the critical stage of internal battery assembly.
The system automatically places zinc components into battery cases and then aligns and connects the battery poles, ensuring accuracy and reliability throughout the process. The solution significantly reduces manual labor, improves production speed, and ensures consistent product quality
Milk carton containers packaging line
Location: Tel Aviv, Israel
Project Application: Automated packaging system for transferring milk cartons from the production conveyor and precisely inserting them into cardboard boxes for final shipment.
Supply Scope:
Shaniv Control was responsible for the design, programming, and integration of an advanced robotic solution focused on the end-of-line packaging stage at Tnuva.
The system features an industrial robotic arm equipped with a custom multi-gripper tool, engineered to pick multiple milk cartons simultaneously from the conveyor belt. The arm, controlled by custom code developed by Shaniv, lifts each group of cartons and accurately places them into shipping boxes with high speed and consistency. This solution streamlines the packaging process, reduces manual handling, and ensures precise packing patterns for efficient logistics.
